Hi, I'm Tim Podell, CEO of New Brinley Pictures.
Over the last 25 years, my company, Tim Podell Productions has filmed almost 100 videos, DVDs, and online programs introducing young readers to the world’s most popular children’s authors and their books.
Our “Good Conversation!” series features at-home interviews with beloved authors such as Katherine Paterson (Bridge to Terabithia), Natalie Babbitt (Tuck Everlasting), Phyllis Reynolds Naylor (Shiloh), Christopher Paul Curtis (Bud, Not Buddy), and dozens more.
Our other series of programs, "All About the Book!” explores the plot and themes of a particular children’s classic. Each program features an entertaining book club-like discussion featuring young readers — and includes other segments designed to help viewers get a more in-depth understanding of the book.
We’ve won awards, inspired international editions, and perhaps most importantly, formed lasting relationships with some of the world’s best-loved children's authors.
Now as we move on to the next phase of working with these authors, we’ve formed New Brinley Pictures – a motion picture company dedicated to bringing these authors’ greatest books to the screen.
Recently, we partnered with Arcady Bay Entertainment, a company that has vast experience writing and producing films for children including Disney’s “Bridge to Terabithia” and “The Great Gilly Hopkins".
New Brinley Pictures and Arcady Bay Entertainment are currently working on two projects, both based on classic Young Adult books.
